I get that they wanted to have Clair be unique by giving her a kingdra, but come the fuck on it is the only dragon type you introduced that gen, it wouldn't kill you to stick it on his team. I mean come on, it's not like the fucking gym leaders have the best Pokemon distribution either. No Hoothoot on Falkner, no Spinarak/Ledyba/Pineco/Heracross on Bugsy, NO FUCKING MISDREAVUS ON MORTY, no Hitmontop/Heracross on Chuck, Will could have had a Slowking instead of a Slowbro, maybe a Girafarig, Koga could have had a Qwilfish, I guess, Karen did OK with what she was given, but you could have stuck a Sneasel in there. I mean I like Johto, but fuck, man. They had ample opportunity to show off new Pokemon and dropped the fucking ball.

Like people shit on OR/AS all the fucking time for not really fixing any of the problems with how easy the battles were. but so many of the carryovers to HG/SS from G/S/C are fucking unacceptable. Lick and Spite on Gengar, Karen? Fucking Acid on Vileplume? Swift on Forretress, Baton Pass on Ariados, who has no stat boosting moves to pass, Supersonic on Venomoth, Quick Attack on Crobat? This is a regulated team just like every Gym Leader uses. Even then the Lapras, Aggron and Archeops each cover Dragon weaknesses unlike Lance who just uses 3 Dragonite and anything that seems enough like a dragon. Pathetic.

Both Lance and Iris use Dragons as in Dragon like creatures, like Volkner and Flint or Agatha they do specialize in the whole type areas, this consists of movepools, affine to the type movesets and egg grops. It really isn't that hard to understand.

I don't know what is the whole deal with hurr durr must use only monotypes and then screaming it's too easy, then again /vp/ will bitch because the trainer now uses some coverage mons that also use its specialization type moves beside onlythe Pokemon of said type.

Are you stupid? Gen 1 leaders having some gen 2 mons isnt bad, it actually makes sense to upgrade their teams and its not like they are the majority.

The problem is that Gen 2 leaders, the ones that are supposed to present Gen 2 have mostly Gen 1 mons.
