>>22974474I'm starting to hate Pokemon, yes, but not for the same reasons as you.
I like megas, and i don't know wtf else you were trying to say.
The reason I hate it is because time and time again it fails to live up to its potential. The plot is bare, there are next to no inventive creative solutions and then the ones that are are taken away, there is no challenge and despite all of this GameFreak sell millions of copies at £40 each. We always fall for it, thinking the next game will be "As good as GSC" and it never ever is. Platinum and BW2, also good games by /vp/'s standards, are arguably forgettable in comparison to GSC. BW2 and Platinum are "good" games, but the "good" games should be BW and DP, with their successors as "excellent" games. They're just not.
Every single main title is incomplete for one reason or another. It's unacceptable and it's sad. /vp/ is saturated with negativity because of it, or it's full of wishlists, or fakemons, or fake games. Why? Because the real thing isn't good enough.
Pandering to kids and completely abandoning the old fans like us was a *huge* mistake. Sure, kids are harder to keep still these days, but does that affect them buying it? No. Playing it? Maybe, but if they own a 3DS chances are they want a level of depth that goes beyond pressing A and KOing everything in sight. If they want to start comparing Pokemon with smart phone games, Flappy Bird was addictive because it's simple and hard, not because it's easy.
