Are you trying to say that one town makes up for the entire region being dull. On top of that, Floaroma, while being a town about flowers, wasn't all that colourful because the flowers only had about four colours to them with two being fairly similar to each other.
As for the Stark Mountain, the colours didn't really make it feel like a volcanic area especially in Plat where there was just a red filter over everything.
Hell, Emerald did it better with the Magma hideout and Mt.Chimney.
Seriously, as much as you try and deny it you have some kind of bias for generation 4 specifically Sinnoh because if you didn't notice I said HG/SS is one of the most colourful games along with ORAS, HG/SS being an actual gen 4 game.
Sinnoh just didn't live up to its potential at all.
