You're acting like this is November 2013 or something where everyone played the one swords dance king's shield set. The only strategy with aegislash isn't to attack then king's shield. It has so many options. There were a bunch of sets that didn't even run king's shield because automize existed and people realized "Hey, 150 base offenses are really fucking good". People run mixed with weakness policy because "lol a fire move would kill it"
Find me a legendary with anything close to 150 base defenses and offenses at the same time. Any of these arguments are multiple times as effective on something like Articuno, Mew, Moltres, Registeel, Entei, or any other legendary. They can't create volcanoes or travel through time in a battle, and Pokemon should only be banned from battle if they're overpowered for battle, like Mega Rayquaza. Mesprit draining you of emotion shouldn't bar it from battling if it can't do anything remotely close to that in practice.
But you're trying all this hard to deal with a sword who has higher offenses than Arceus, better defenses than Giratina, comparable damage output to Kyurem-White, and this isn't even a legendary. Arguing that its fine because you might be able to deal with it in some way some times. Sure, that's fine, way to keep avoiding the entire reason it was brought up then.
