Vital Spirit. It'd be Uber for sure, but it's the only way to make a Pokemon with its base stats viable without making it PU garbage with an ability like it has now.

I don't see why that'd be a bad thing. GameFreak's obviously not being shy with the power creep anymore (with bullshit like Fug and Megamence) so why not give Slaking the power it deserves? Same goes to Regigigas. I want to see these two finally not be fucking hampered by their abilities and actually put up a good fight.

Scrappy, Vital Spirit or Early Bird. The mayor Boost in its lower stats in an attempt to not broke any of them.
But on second thought, this is Bulkier than Arceus, hits like Kyurem-B, a usable Special Attack, and on top of that, its base Speed, while not top tier, still usable.

The only way to not broke M-Slaking, is giving it the P-Kyogre treatment and an useless ability. Vital Spirit and Scrappy aren't useless by any means.

On the subject of strong Pokemon held back by their abilities, how would you guys imagine a Mega/Primal Regigigas? I'm thinking...

160 Atk -> 180 Atk
110 Def -> 150 Def
80 SpA
110 SpD -> 150 SpD
100 Spe

It just becomes much tankier. Ability could be any of the following: Clear Body, Sheer Force, Iron Fist, Mold Breaker. I think Clear Body would make sense since it'd share that ability with its subordinates. Now, would this be Ubers material or at least OU material?

If that's too much of a cop-out, then you could go and make the ability Steadfast, one of the only abilities crappier than Inner Focus. Especially dumb because the only way he's flinching with 150 base speed is if somebody used Fake Out or is a scarfed flincher or something.

Probably still in ubers even with that, but at least it isn't Kangaskhan or Rayquaza level dumb.

I don't think Slaking should get a mega, since it's a mid-game Pokemon, balanced by its shitty ability. It was never supposed to be a godmode legendary Pokemon. It was a gimmick Pokemon from the start, and it should stay a gimmick Pokemon.

Now Regigigas, on the other hand...

Leaving the speed stat alone for 2 reasons, one being that speed is ignored anyway so it doesn't matter what it is, and two being that you can get rid of Stall in doubles if necessary and still have good speed.

Regi Aura: All Regi pokemon in your party share the same resistances and immunities.
110/160/110/80/110/100
110/200/120/120/120/100

Regis have always been defensive in nature, so an ability like this would only make sense. It does come with the slight cost of having a Fighting-weak team.

On the contrary, Beedrill was one of the few things that could kill Mewtwo on the switch in thanks to learning one of the only two or three bug moves in existence in Gen 1, it even had the special attack meant to take a Mewtwo's hit

Then they fucked up and made it poison so Mewtwo would be the best

Speed: 100->120
180 attack with 120 speed, as well as STAB on a base 102 attack with no drawbacks, pretty good physical coverage moves, and 115 SpAtk if you really want to run Fire Blast or Ice Beam.
This would be broken.
That said, I think Slaking deserves it for being shat on for all of its existence.
