The problem with metagross isn't even that it's broken, it's that it forces the meta to stay as it is (a terrible rock papers scissors variant). Look at tour matches, and you can see good players being beaten by mediocre ones purely because of matchup. The only people who don't see this as a problem are low ladder shitters, which sadly could get reqs this time because haunter decided to remove the regular ladder. I'm not making assumptions here; I have proof. First of all, over 300 people made reqs as opposed to the ~100 voters from suspect test with two ladders. Second of all, Jukain posted some nice stats showing that if all the voters with less than 80 gxe had their votes removed, metagrossite would have been banned (and lets face it, players who made reqs with under 80 gxe rarely have a good insight into the meta).
