As a defensive pokemon yveltal beats every single physical attacker not named tyranitar. As an offensive pokemon it 2hko's the entire tier while bringing retarded amounts of utility with nuclear powered knock offs/sucker punches, taunts, and it's signature move makes it extremely hard to kill.

No. There are only two Fairies in Ubers, Xerneas and Mega Mawile, and Mega Mawile can be countered with Primal Groudon, Reshiram, or maybe Ground Arceus. Xerneas is nuclear anyway, Yveltal doesn't stand a chance.

Yveltal works great due to the combination of Dark Aura, Dark STAB, Foul Play and Sucker Punch.

An Yveltal Sucker Punch is singlehandedly the most powerful Priority move in the entire game. Even more powerful than Mega Rayquaza and Megamence' s Extremespeed :

The only ones I know of are Terrakion, Heracross, and Sceptile. But I don't think those are even related to Greninja's ban. Sceptile maybe since there's less reason to run its Mega's speed tier. But Greninja being gone made a lot more stuff more viable.
