Everything else in your post is entirely correct. Anyone who disagrees falls into one of the following categories:
1) Underage who doesn't play any video games other than pokemon, thus not knowing how much he is getting fucked over by GF and explains why he has incredibly low standards. It's like taking a poor Ethiopian child to see an absolutely abysmal movie in the cinema. This child has never seen a movie before in his entire life and thinks this shit movie is amazing and thus cannot see this movie for what it is, shit.
2) Underage who has played some video games other than pokemon but still doesn't have enough experience with other games to realise how much he is getting fucked over by GF. See the Ethiopian child allegory above.
3) Someone who played gen1-2 (and perhaps played r/s) and recently got back into pokemon with gen 6. He hasn't played Emerald, Platinum or BW2, thus he thinks gen 6 is really impressive without realising how much he is getting fucked over by GF. See the Ethiopian child allegory above.
