TotT: Now that we've seen the potential the 3DS brings to the table with fully orchestrated soundtracks, what do you expect future remakes/future games to sound like?

As much as people hate ORAS around here, I fucking loved the soundtrack so much. Especially the rival theme.

I always liked the vocal remixes they had for a couple of the OSTs since RSE, and I wished they would have made some during Gen 4 and XY too.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who fucking loved the Brendan/May theme. Will forever be one of my all-time favorite tracks in the entire series, which was even further reinforced by ORAS.

I personally didn't like it because it lacks melody. I mean, the beat isn't bad, but it's forgettable as hell because nothing particularly stands out and feels very empty.

The whole series actually has surprisingly great music. This could have easily been something they put the least effort into.

Thanks for all this great taste.

Also, Pokémon music really deserves more attention. Feels so good when listening them. Everytime I hear one of them, I feel like I am back again in my first playthrough and to the old hype.

This is by far the best Victory Road theme in my opinion. It's even better in-game when you pass through the eight gates before the Victory Road where at first you only hear the wind and for every gate you pass through the music gets more layers added, which really builds up tension.

This was always my favorite rival theme. The ORAS remix is even better holy shit. The percussion is much more fast-paced and I like the added synth and electric guitars.

I like it well enough, the problem is that there's a superior remix in the same game that only gets used once, and makes the regular gym battle theme much blander in comparison.
