Do you think Pokemon Bank will continue to be updated and support Pokemon games in the future? Will Gen VII have a different system, or will the bank simply update to allow new Pokemon? Will they increase the storage limit beyond 3000?

It sounds like they plan to keep the Bank up and updated in some form for quite a while, I highly doubt it'll be left behind as a Gen6 thing, especially as it's a paid service that was marketed to be a very long term service. My guess is that they'll update the bank to work with the new generation of Pokemon somehow, and updated the Gen6 games so they don't shit themselves accessing the bank, but won't allow you to grab the new Pokemon.

When they announced Bank, they said it'd be supported with future generations, not just Gen VI.

They updated it with the new ORAS moves and things to block them being sent to XY, so logically that will continue to happen with each game.

I'm not sure, OP. I don't know the numbers for bank, since nintendo did not release them, but I don't think all that many people paid for it. GF is lazy as all shit, so having something that takes work to keep updated may not be what they intend now it doesn't print money. I guess it will be supported by Gen VII since that is probably a thing in development, but Gen VIII won't make it.

It shouldn't really be that hard for Nintendo. Maybe gen 7 will end up being on the 3DS again, just like how Black and White were not on the 3DS (despite being released already) because not enough people had one yet and they wouldn't make much bank out of it.

I think you overestimate the importance of bank. The people that would be angry are the people crazy enough to pay them 5 bucks a year for a service that, honestly, should be free. Those people will continue to buy their stuff no matter what, this event will mean little to them monetarily or even morally. I don't know if it's going to exist past next gen.
