I've started playing Pokemon Showdown random. battles, anything I should know? total competetive beginner
I'm at like 1300 points or something atm

I like the random factor and having to adapt, the opponet could have an arceus or a total shitmon.
How does adapting and overcoming teach you nothing?

I disagree. Random battles teach you sets and stats of the more obscure Pokemon. Yeah, most of the knowledge will never come in to play but it still can be fun and useful.
