I like Braixen better than Delphox, but mostly because they did what they always do and went the laziest route they possibly could with its legs. Delphox instantly looks 10x better with visible legs.

OP I would have done the same if I knew what Delphox looked like beforehand. I also like Haunter way better than Gengar, but I always evolve it when I get the chance

I used all the Gen V starters from start to finish once. If I ever go back to gen V, none of those fuckers get on my team. I don't think there is any other gen that gets that honor.

All of the gen 5 starters are pretty good gameplay and they have the 2nd best designs of any gen (After IV, maybe II as well)

This is now an opinions thread.
On top of their terrible designs, they're also not interesting typing-wise, everything Emboar does has either another starter or another fighting type that does it better. Samurott is just another bulky water, and Serperior is shit without its HA and even then it's a gimmick set that isn't possible until late game.

Except they were. No additional typing at any point, Meganium's useless (sorry Meganiumbros), and Typhlosion has a nonexistent movepool and a bland design[/spoiler. Now that hidden abilities are available for them, Feraligatr has some kind of use, but what do they have over any other generation?
