Why the hell are Bug-type trainers in these games all faggots? Bugs are fucking awesome. Heracross, Scizor, Volcarona, Beedrill, Scolipede, Yanmega, Ninjask, fucking Genesect. Bugs are cool as shit. I demand we get an equally cool Bug trainer. Bugs get a shitty rap in these games, for being the best type.

3/3 male Bug specialists in the series are fuckboys. The potential Bug Champion, despite coming from THE Bug generation, had a team just mixed enough to not be able to be called a Bug trainer. Bug Catchers are strewn through the early game as if to hammer into the player "Bugs are shit and nothing but fodder, don't bother raising them." Fairies came in and gave them another nerf for no reason. This is some bullshit. I demand equal treatment for the best type in the game and an immediate cessation of implicit and explicit hostilities against them by Gamefreak.

At least bugs got an elite four member. prio to gen 6 the rock users were always the first gym leader and swept by your starter unless you happened to choose the fire starter. And in gen six the rock gym leader was only the second gym so hardly a big advancement.

Of course he is. He's adorable and bestmon. Pity his Mega messed with his shtick so much, but I can appreciate that you have the option of going beefy Skill Link or Choice Scarf Speedster. They're more like different Pokemon than a simple improvement on the base form. Better all in all, but in a different way. I feel like that's what Megas should be like.

Seven. One for each starter, and the Chandelure line, which is only secondary Fire. If you count shitty Babymon, technically the Magmar line is one, too. Fire is the eternal "wow it's fucking nothing." Every generation, fucking nothing. At least we resist Fairies.

Do they count if they only get Fire partway down the line? Yeah, I guess I did forget about them. Shame Talonflame ended up not only looking stupid as fuck, but with an awful name that didn't continue the "arrow" theme. Fletchinder is one of my favorite Flying types.

Mega Scizor is personal. For years I'd dreamed of an extension for a Pokemon I loved the moment I saw it in Nintendo Power and always unironically thought looked "badass". I never minded Scyther, but I couldn't believe it evolved into something like it. Then fast forward to many many years later where Mega Evolution is announced, but fucking Ampharos is among the vanguard right up with Charizard, Mewtwo and Lucario. Then I finally see its Mega and they barely fucking did ANYTHING to it. They just messed a little with the wings, made parts of the body more cybernetic and metallic and what else? MECHANICAL CLAWS. I wanted those exact kind of powerful claws that could crush and rip apart anything for NEARLY 20 FUCKING YEARS AND THEY COULDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO EXTEND THE GODDAMN HORNS.

If it's 3 stages and any of the mons in the line have the specified type then I count it. Which means, for example the Tyranitar line gets counted as ground even though Tyranitar himself doesn't have ground, only his prevos.
