Jimmy and Marina were more likable characters and the Team Rocket fight was actually enjoyable for once, also Jimmy's owns a Beedrill and the trailer showed Silver

Does the audience of this show seriously watch an animated pokemon series for those three things? Would the removal of Ash and the Rocket Trio really lose viewers to the point of doing irreparable damage to the brand?

It shouldn't do, you'd probably get people who are tired of Ash being perpetually 10 and his weirdass Pikachu that should be level 100 but gets beaten by level 5 Snivys as well as team repetition watching it again, maybe.
