Why isn't this thing in Ubers? Its huge stats and coverage, alongside access to Roost, make it a huge nuisance.

My team just got solo'd by one because it had enough bulk to take and heal off hits while at the same time hit everything I have for good damage.

Ice helps it by getting rid of the Ice type weakness. Rock is uncommon or comes as non-STAB. Fighting, Dragon, and Fairy don't have too many mons that wanna come in on it that fare well in the tier. Only one off the top that can is Sylveon.

All of those moves are basically coming from 120 base SpAtt, which is manageable. Think of it as a slower, bulkier Latios with a much worse typing given its Speed.

If it had Icicle Crash, it would be Ubers, yes. As it is, the only STAB move to abuse its 170 base Att is Outrage, which is a suspect move to rely on given Fairy and Steel usage in any format KyuB is played; Dragon Claw only has notable power if it is Banded, which makes it easier to play around. Fusion Bolt acts as a pseudo-STAB move from its base Att, but it's only threatening when it's SE.

Also, because of its move puddle, it has to choose between Att/SpAtt/Spee. You cannot invest in both Attack stats and have good Speed (relative, since it's still stuck at base 95); if it goes physical+speed, it has no moves; if it goes special+speed, it's a worse Latios; if it goes mixed, it's not a threat in one of the major areas; if it goes full bulk, you deal with it like you deal with any other threatening bulky setup attacker.

It's a good mon, but it isn't so good that it should be banned from OU and into Ubers.

Sure if it had a physical ice move it would be hugely powerful, but it still has a more than usable special attack, and with those 3 moves it hits everything it wants to.

Ice typing is the least of its problems. A POKEMON ISN'T SOLELY DEFINED BY ITS DEFENSIVE TYPE. Kyurem-W has the exact same type and it's ubers because it has the right movepool to complement its offensive stats, unlike Kyurem-B.
Imagine if Ho-oh didn't have Sacred Fire and Brave Bird: it would probably be OU, hell maybe even BL.

Guess you're one of those who don't use legendaries to make himself look like a pro and who likes to gloat when a legendary doesn't make it ubers.

It's general consensus that Kyu-B is only a step away from becoming ludicrously broken, as many custom metagames on Smogon have shown. All it takes is one decent physical ice move and it's back to ubers where it belongs.

Regigigas is barely above average because it has to dedicate moveslots to stalling, therefore reducing its coverage, and it can't run items like life orb due to needing to sustain its hp in order to be effective. This makes its otherwise great attack merely good, and its average speed tier means that its a very underwhelming pokemon even once slow start is over.

Articuno is too slow and weak to be an offensive pokemon, and its defensive typing stops it from utilizing its good defenses. Its a shitmon, plain and simple.

Before this thread goes any further, let me remind everyone that didn't pay attention during B2W2 that Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are unnatural beings as the result of fusion, not their own Pokemon, and they're temporary. Kyurem's shape only changes by the influence of Reshiram or Zekrom and would revert without them. Kyurem can't punch anything with those tiny ass manlet arms.

Good, faggots? Kyurem's fusions can't learn anything he can't on his own.

Its not the ice type thats the problem, look at Kyurem-W. Unlike most ice types, its not a slow and defensive mon with bad attack but the biggest issue is the lack of physical ice STAB to abuse it with.

It has moves, just that its signature move, Freeze Shock, is a two turn move. It's unviable and can only use the Power Herb once. If under any circumstance that Ice Burn and Freeze Shock got retconned to a one turn move, it would quick banned. 140 BP with a 30% chance to paralyze combined with Iron Head, Dragon STAB, Fusion Bolt and Mold Breaker.

Because Kyurem is canonically weak on its own. Sucks competitively, but at least has an excuse. Zygarde was apparently just a lazy asshole who won't shed and did absolutely nothing while the power of Xerneas or Yveltal was nearly used to start a genocide.

This isn't gen 5 anymore. Dragon and Ice have different uses.
If you want to see redundant STABs, look no further than Heracross. Bug and fighting are resisted by not one, not two, not THREE, but FOUR TYPES.

Fuck off. Plenty of pokemon have their STAB combo resisted by one or more types (see: Rotom-W, Talonflame, Heatran, Lati@s, Breloom...) and you never see people calling them "redundant". I don't see why Kyurem needs to be further insulted because of that.
