I might add that the 28 hours doesn't include any minor grinding, which would add about 2 hours? It also excludes all minigame time, so add about 1½-2 hours for berry growing, PokeBlock making, and the text skipping. All in all it would be closer to 32ish hours, but only 28 hours of actual honest to god game play. Pokemon games don't actually take very long on average, the first game takes about ~5-6ish hours to actually beat without cheating.
