Good movesets for in-game consist of 3 damaging moves, one for each STAB and one or two other types for coverage, and one status or boosting move. You could also go for four damaging moves, but I find a status move makes things more interesting. Since it's Gen III, don't worry about the physical/special split, especially not for in-game.
Example for Charizard:
- Flamethrower
- Aerial Ace/Fly
- Dragon Claw
- Toxic
You can probably come up with something better, this is just what I got after a quick look at its movepool from Gen III. Just play around with things, find out what type coverage you need, and use what you find fun.
