I was thinking more along the lines of Kingler. At least Seismitoad can get good STAB from EQ. Kingler's only option is Crabhammer, which comes at the end of the game

It's because Lick was the only Ghost move that used damage calculation back in Gen 1. idk why they didn't make them special and replace them with Dark as a physical type when the system was overhauled in Gen 2.

I know that and i guess licking is physical but
