Mewtwo's voice was male.

Mewtwo's voice was dreamy.

I am a Genwonner and believe in the Original Mewtwo over the Femtwo/newtwo. It may not 'have a gender' but it's voice clearly depicts it. And nothing was as cold and awesome as Mewtwo's original voice.

I fangirl over the original Mewtwo all day, everyday.

He's the only ''pokemon'' that has been stated to be the strongest over all, easily able to overcome even the 'God' pokemon Arceus. He's the only one to show, outside of Yveltal, to actually kill humans and pokemon. Caring none for Humans in general. He's the only pokemon that was on his way to World Domination. Sure other pokemon have 'turned others to stone' or something of the like, but Mewtwo eradicated human life to prove its strength and dominance.

Nothing will ever replace or be like Mewtwo. The original badass.

The ORIGINAL couldn't even fully destroy a mansion, it couldn't talk, it had no notable intelligence, it wasn't made by Team Rocket, and it was a cave dweller. Your precious anime Mewtwo is nothing but Lucario tier fanfiction that would be a staple of cringe threads if it came from Deviantart.

Mewtwo is worse in the English translation of the movie. The Japanese script depicted a far more tragic Mewtwo, one who had been betrayed and used by humans, and felt without purpose or meaning in a world where he was neither person nor Pokémon. He never meant to destroy the world, he only planned to prove he too had worth, and in general, that existence has worth. In the end, he realised the nature of his birth was irrelevant, worth comes from within and life is what you make it. Mew was a dick who basically said clones are inferior, and should perish. He essentially instigated the fight at the end of the film, in the Japanese version.

But because it was somewhat deep and thought-provoking, it had to be changed for American audiences. They were afraid kids wouldn't have a clear understanding of who the bad and good guys were.

Manga version is an alternate reality and the Anime version was the original theory for Mewtwo since the conception of Mewtwo HeadCannon. Every creator has said the Manga creation was a knock off and the Anime version was the intended target.
