>>23051030>Sudowoodo gets an additional typeExcept, Sudowoodo isn't a tree or made of wood? It's a piece of stone. I know it's a convincing disguise, but, come on. That's like saying Foongus should be a Steel-type, because it's clearly a Poke Ball.
>"jelly" typeThat, on the other hand, I'm totally down with. Out of all the new type ideas I regularly see (wood, sound, light, cosmic, tech, goo/jelly), jelly's the least common, but it's also my favourite. It doesn't fit neatly into any other type, while I feel like most of those others aren't distinct enough to warrant their own type.
A lot of people were saying Goodra should be Water- or Poison-type, but it technically speaking isn't anything to do with water or poison.
As for potential Jelly-types:
Grimer, Muk - Jelly/Poison
Ditto - Jelly
Solosis, Duosion, Reuniclus - Psychic/Jelly
Swirlix - Fairy, Slurpuff - Fairy/Jelly
Goomy, Sliggoo - Jelly, Goodra - Jelly/Dragon
and possibly? :
Shuckle - Jelly/Rock
Wynaut, Wobbuffett - Psychic/Jelly
Gulpin, Swalot - Poison/Jelly
and some Pokemon that would get Jelly attacks, Jelly-related abilities, etc. :
Tentacool, Tentacruel
Slugma, Magcargo
Frillish, Jellicent
Shellos, Gastrodon
Stunfisk
Now, the problem here, I guess, is I've picked out somewhere between 10 and 16 Jelly-types. That's probably not enough to justify a type, if we compare it with the 24 Fairy-types that were introduced before Gen VI.
