this'd confirm actual amiibos then, both new 3ds and wii u can support them, so i'd be easy to have them utilize amiibo.

it'd give them an excuse to make more pokemon ones, and to phase out the smash pokemon figures which seems to be the general idea at some point; get rid of the smash ones and have "lines" like Mario, Zelda, etc.

No, it wouldn't. The fact that the last game used proto-amiibos does, but merely being multi platform doesn't "confirm amiibo."

Smash IS an amiibo line. In addition, the only other line present or even announced is the Mario line. You're basing your "general idea" on one additional line.

If you're going to draw conclusions, at least stay inside the lines.
