Use literally any mon, flying should be Crobat or Staraptor, grass ones are mostly shit if you don't have Torterra, honestly I don't see any reason to use FWG cores ingame but oh well, unlike in BW your starters are pretty much the best Pokemon with this type ingame. Shit bulk Johto dog and pony are also avaible, use the fire horse for the decent 500bst and level up moves. Gyarados or Quagsire as water type, Gastrodon and Floatzel are trash ingame even to enjoy as weak mons, alternatively Lolmineon.
Try to SR in the Trophy Garden for some rare Pokemon or just use weak mons.
I'm going to train 3 Meowrh and a Skitty + flyer and surfer, won't bother to restart he whole game.
