Hey /vp/, I was just looking for some trick room advice. Never made a team like this before. Here's what I was thinking thus far.

Physical sweeper and all around bro. Always wanted to be able to use hm but he's just so slow.

TR setter

TR setter with insane bulk due to eviolite

>Clawitzer
Special sweeper

>Mega Abomasnow
Mixed sweeper/special wall

And my last slot is open. Should I do another TR setter or a speedy 'mon to help out in case things go wrong? I've heard Reniculus is good for TR. Any pointers are welcome.

I use a speedy mon for coverage and settting up is best in my opinion. Yes, I still sacrifice mons for setting up.

If you have a trick room you can always run something fast with priority moves. Since it will still act first in a TR and can cover you if you're TR isnt up for some reason.

I've never worked with trick room before either but i built a slowking yesterday to help my team. He runs trick room, future sight, fire blast and scald. Haven't gotten the chance to try it out yet. I here hazard support really helps trick room so you may want to add that to your team.

Hazards are not a big deal in doubles, you don't really need a spinner.

Word, but i don't play a lot of doubles. My main format is 6 v 6. Is that too crazy to be trying to trick room?

Eh, TR is pretty bad in singles.
If you want to try it just for fun then go ahead, but If you want a good, effective TR team you should definitely go for the dubs.

You'll want to pick up:

>Reuniclus: Insane Bulk, Magic Guard access, and Special Sweeper if using Life Orb
>Rampardos: Phys Sweeper with Choice Band
>Aromatisse: Healer for doubles, Aroma Veil to negate Taunt, Misty Terrain to prevent status on both sides, Special Bulk

Yes, he can't take a hit outside of priority moves but his damage output is incredible and has turned tides for me on TR teams, especially in doubles. Alternatively, Rhyperior can work plus has the added benefit of Solid Rock to give him some survivability.

This. I use Aromatisse for my Trick Room VGC team, completely being immune to Taunt is fucking amazing in a Trick Room setter. I also have Cofagrigus for Fake Out immunity and the ability to negate opponent's abilities that they often depend on like Gale Wings or Parental Bond.

Prankster mons are fun in trick room. I love klefki, safeguard+swaggering my own team. Substitute and sitrus berry with whatever else you might need. I use recycle for longevity. Plus it's massive taunt bait which is good taking pressure off your setter.

Yeah, I run that too. Being able to heal Mega Mawile or Thick Club Marowak as they continue to Play Rough/Bonemerang opponents into oblivion feels good.
