because ORAS was so rushed they had to use a beta of XY when working on the game. The polished features in XY were completely left out of ORAS.

That never happened.
The player characters are always mute. They can use the other gender as an NPC and give them dialogue but that's entirely different.

I meant it as that it was never implemented and dropped, maybe they figured it was a stupid idea and didn't want to create a new personality for the previous characters after all. Not that it was never suggested.

Besides while this would destroy some of that feeling it's still not the protagonist that you're controlling that is speaking. Just an NPC that happened to be your protagonist in the previous game.

Because they dropped them for the secret bases in favor of using some of the Hoenn trainer classes as avatars. Also, I hope they keep customization for 7th gen and so on.

At least there's still PSS icons if you want to judge others. Ace Trainer fags and long haired Calems are the worst, School Kids are cool guys and Hex Maniacs are usually men
