I use powersaves and breed and I'd say he's only half right. The only tedious thing about breeding/ev training is the setup. Once you have that done, getting a competitive mon is piss easy. Literally roughly ten minutes to go from egg to fully trained and evolved mon.

100% agree about the event mons though. To HELL with soft resetting. They get banned from everything anyway, and most fagots don't even wanna battle with ubers on cart. I'll powersave a box of Diancies and never look back

Hacking legal pokemon into your game is still cheating. IVs were never meant to be perfect, so if you want a perfect IV spread, you should be forced to earn it. Hacking perfect pokemon is exactly like using an aim-bot in a first person shooter, sure you could hit those headshots without an aim-bot but why waste time actually getting good at the game when you can just download a bot?

If you hack a pokemon to be a legal perfect pokemon, you still have to be GOOD to use it in battle. Unless you somehow have a hack that lets you perfectly predict the moves of others before you submit your move, it's not the same as aimbotting.

THIS. At least on showdown, everyone has perfect stats. The only reason to use hacked pokemon on a cart is because you're not good enough to win on an even playing field, so you need to beat people's in-game teams with your hacked perfect pokemon.

Breeders do breed for perfect stats, the difference is they EARN it. If you want to p,ay competitive, you can do so on Showdown. If you hack perfect pokemon on a cart, you are a dirty rotten cheater. Except that's not true at all. The vast majority of teams on cart are not perfect. If you hack pokemon on a cart you are gaining an advantage you did not earn. If you want to battle with perfect teams, get on showdown and fuck the shut up.

I use powersaves and pokegen through PKHeX...

but, that was after spending an entire year breeding for hundreds of hours trying to get good pokemon, and I got A LOT. My in-game time on X is 999:59.

In the last month or so that I've been genning, I've already accumulated more than twice the pokemon that I needed than I did within a year of breeding.

And I still have almost all the pokes that I bred for. I have a grab-bag of bred and genned pokes, and if I brought them to a battle or traded them all to you, I bet you wouldn't be able to tell which was which.

I mean, you're a faggot for using Greninja, but if you're going to use it, you'll look like less of an idiot if it's Protean. I own a 2DS from when I was broke as shit and now am on better financial standing and decided to get a new 3DS XL
Not updating either until it's safe to do so, there are a few CFW's being worked on as of now so gateway-less emuNAND is as close as ever.
If you can get a 2DS below 9.3, you're golden, because you can inject AND have 9.5 at the same time too
I wouldn't invest on gateway, unless I felt the need to pirate games (which I don't). I only wanted it for emuNAND but once rxtools was released I could use that instead. Gateway only works until 9.2 but you have the benefit of ROM's, savedata backups and more small benefits.

You are affecting the meta of the cart based multiplayer. Perfect teams would be much more rare if hacked pokemon didn't exist. If you want to battle your perfect team against other perfect teams as quickly as possible, play showdown. Otherwise you are a cheater, plain and simple.

I just wanna say that not all of us are against the use of cheating devices. I breed my pokes and battle online just like everyone else. I know that most others cheat...and I don't mind.

My pokes (usually) are no different than the ones anyone else uses. I recognize that. I also just take a little bit more enjoyment out of hatching eggs than injecting stuff...It's just a personal preference.

All you other breeders in here make me sick with your "cheating is ruining the meta" bullshit. Cheating's been apart of the meta since the baby days of competitive. It's not much different today than it was 10 years ago. The only difference was that there were less people playing and things were kept a little further underground.

As one who breeds AND battles, I can say personally that you all need to stop blaming "cheaters" for your own lack of skill. My pokemon are 5 and 6 IV. I didn't cheat them, I bred them, And they can take on anyone else's pokes the same way yours should be able to. I don't care that they got them "faster" as long as they aren't outside of the legal standards.

You all need to lighten the fuck up and stop giving breeders a bad name.

I have breed a perfect team for myself but it would be neat if I didn't always have to use it. Imagine if hacked pokemon didn't exist, only the very best players would have perfect pokemon, part of the challenge would be how well you can breed. And in a perfect world we would have that meta as well as the showdown meta for people too lazy to breed. I breed exclusively, and the only part that bugs me about hacks is all the shinies around. I have my fair share of shines, but only 2 of them are actually battle worthy if a calm, x/x/31/x/31/x umbreon counts

But I do have at least one hacked mom, and I'm sure a lot of other breeders here do too, and I can't help but wonder....

How hard is it to breed a perfect ditto from scratch?

I have a 4IV ditto missing Sp Atk and Atk, and it's my breeding Ditto. I find it very easy to breed and see hacking as lazy.

Why doesn't GF just cut out the middle man and make getting perfect pokes in-game as easy as genning one? You know, keep the breeding BS but maybe have a "perfect ditto handout event," Make EV training as simple as adding an in-game slider system similar to showdown's, and make the actual EV and IV number visible instead of giving vague hints into what the number might be.

also an Item that changes the pokemon's nature would be nice. And the ability to alter IV's with items similar to how the vitamins and berries can raise or lower EV's respectively. Like, and item that raises/lowers a pokemon's "potential stat" by 1. If it was as simple as cheating, I wouldn't cheat.
