The worst bit was when he found me playing on his pokemon ruby a year later. It had the same marking on the case as his one, and he pointed it out to me. I managed to convince him that it was a coincidence. I remember him bawling his eyes out the first time he couldn't find it. It was hard to pat him on the back and tell him everything was alright when I knew I had stolen his game

I was the perfect age for the pokeboom but too poor to actually enjoy it so I have never played R/B/Y.
Don't feel like playing it in the future either since it looks like a much worse FR/LG...which I haven't played either.

I hold no sentiment or nostalgia over 1st gen games whatsoever and G/S/C loses it's significance to me since I can't relate it to the 1st gen games.

I don't like Fire Red and Leaf Green. Not when they were new, and not to this date. They're the main games I've put by far the least amount of play time into. Crystal was still relatively fresh in mind, so revisiting Kanto wasn't a cool thing, and it lacked several features from R/S and even G/S/C for the sake of muh nostalgia.

I gave my Red version to some kid.

I have made exceptions in nuzlockes so that I can catch a favorite pokemon.

I boxed Grovyle in AS for a shiny Wooper i bred for the game

I eventaully took my Greninja off of my team in X in favor of having 1 Pokémon from every generation, and once I got a Frogadier friend safari, I wonder traded it away.

My favorite games from Generation 1 and 3 aren't even main series games. Stadium is my favorite Gen 1 game and Gale of Darkness is my favorite Gen 3 game. Johto is worst region.
