Gen 7 comes out
Ash says goodbye to Serena, Clemont and Bonnie.
He goes to the new Region with out any other Pokemon besides Pikachu.
Team Rocket follows
Ash meets the female protagonist and Pikachu zaps her bike.
Serena will be most likely back for three episodes for a contest/pokethalon/rhyhorn race, just like Dawn, May and Misty.
