Second, even if you make the argument of superiority, do realize that Thundurus, Raikou, Heliolisk, Galvantula, Zapdos, Jolteon, and Magnezone exist as better options when considering Electivire. For Mamortar, we have Arcanine, Darmanitan, Charizard, Talonflame, Houndoom, Volcarona, Chandelure, Heatran, Infernape, Blaziken, and even Entei.
For design quality, of course Electivire wins as an electric yeti. At least he doesn't look stupid, even when unevolved (Magmar has boobs for eyebrows, and Magmotar's lips are just creepy. Electabuzz is at least some alien mammal with a plug for a tail, looking more sophisticated than Magmar.).
My point? No matter how you slice it, these guys are rather lackluster to the power creep that is of the future gens (Notice my lack of Megas. They eat the two.). Granted they aren't that bad, consider other options. I, however
am okay with Electivire. Magmortar
is ugly as fuck, though.
Poor Rhyperior never stood a chance. He's not only rather ugly, but completely beaten by Rhydon as a worthy fighter. I still like him (Rhyperior) though.
