Did you guys transfer your Pokemon up from your old games or did you start fresh in Gen 6? What's your oldest Pokemon?

it was the only trade I ever did in game

chansey is in a rare safari ball, transferred from kanto with 1% encounter rate +safari mechanics required to actually capture

currently doing a nuzlocke in platinum with it, then it's off to KALOS, then oras for all the ribbons

I didn't edit shit because pokesav can't into legit trashbytes for gba mons

All my old Pokémon are kill. I fell out of it for a long time and misplaced my games, traded them in or merely erased the files. I kinda regret it, looking back.

The oldest ones I have are from Gen 5.

No. I always have to start fresh because I have a bad habit of restarting my games and not finishing them.

It kinda makes me feel bad for my bros who helped me beat the game the first time. I can hardly remember them, and there's no record of them ever existing.

Thankfully, Pokebank has pretty much eliminated this problem.

The difference being that the new data is an exact copy of the old one right down to the hidden stats instead of being an altered one that only has the species in common to the older one.
For all intents and purposes it is the pokemon you used before.

Can't find any of my Sapphire team anywhere, but I'm pretty sure they're on a 4th gen game somewhere.
I have got a Gengar from my initial Lg run. It's stats are awful, as its moveset, but it's got max contest stats and ribbons in all the original Hoenn contests. Gonna try getting them all again.

I didn't keep any of my old GBA games. In like 2007 I sold them my R/S/E/FR/LG carts because I stopped caring. At the moment, I have a ton of mons on my FireRed from a year ago but that's as old as it gets. And even if I did have my old Blaziken from Emerald, I'd still have no way to transfer it up.

Since thank God 3ds plays DS games, I have plenty of Pearl, Platinum and SS bros with me. I even went as far as catching a Tyroge on Pt because muh Premier Ball, transfer it to SS for tutor moves, and then all the way to ORAS to kick some ass with Sucker Punch (as a Hitmontop)

I used the Emerald cloning glitch to clone every significant bro I ever happened across in my 3rd gen games, so I essentially have copies of my Emerald/FR squad (and by squad I mean 2-3 boxes) on every game I own since 3rd gen. I just kept cloning them and sending the clones to each game.

But to answer the oldest Pokemon question, I suppose it'd have to be my Sceptile from Sapphire. Literally the first 3rd gen pokemon I got so he'd have to be it. He's rightfully level 100, and clones of him exist on every game I have.

Just a random Bagon and Natu, but I fucking love them to pieces because I remember hunting forever for Bagon in that one section of meteor falls for like hours for one with a dragon scale and trying to catch a Natu with a safari ball. I was only like 9 or 10 at the time and I didn't even know shit about anything, they bring back a lot of memories.

yes i trade up i still have my first blaziken, sadly because of the gen2, gen 3 barrier i cant trade up my first charizard pikachu feraligatr and any from the first two gens and the battery has long since died many years ago but i am thinking of a solution that involves a beta-voltaic battery from http://www.citylabs.net/ that hopefully i can pass though airport and border security.

although originally i did it because i had teams i knew i could count on, these days its more for pokedex completion and selling/giving away bred pokemon to friends/customers or helping them trade up their pokemon because not everybody has a working DS with a GBA port

you'll be seeing mews in wondertrade soon, i have been obtaining boxes of pokemon ranch mews for wondertrades because i can.

For actual use I started over for Gen 6, mostly because I hadn't gotten into competitive previously. I have transferred my original Metagross up from Gen 3, but I don't use it in battles any more now that I've bred a shiny one with a better nature and IVs in Y.

I always used Action Replay when I was younger, so I don't actually have any of my really old Pokemon. I saw no value in them when I could just get a full team of level 100 Deoxys and Mewtwo. I'd also restart my saves often.

It wasn't until Gen 5 until I started doing everything legitimately.

Now I have a living dex it's just my old team members, mark them all up with the icons and release those in my living dex that one is replacing.

Of my Ruby team, all I can remember is Blaziken and Rayquaza, so they're all I have.

it is not possible to transfer gens 1 and 2 into gen 3 or beyond
