Daily reminder that Rayquaza is the only pokemon explicitly refered as a God in the Pokeverse. Not even Arceus itself was revered as one.

Isn't Arceus basically unknown in the Pokeverse? Basically only Cynthia and that one hiker ever mentioned it by name, and the Sinnoh libraries seem to be the closest thing to it's existence being common knowledge.

Yeah, Arceus is pretty much unknown. It mostly left interacting with mortals to its trios, sans Giratina.

Giratina fucked up that role so badly it was banished, lost its monument, was stricken from the records, and ancient humans refused to speak its name ever again. It's like an Anti-Rayquaza.
