When will they just remove Raichu from the games? Nobody uses him, and he's an active detriment to Pikachu's line.

Pikachu is the mascot, so Game Freak must do everything in their power to make you forget that Raichu exists.

If they had known that Pikachu would be such a success, they wouldn't have even created Raichu.

What earthly reason is there to make you forget Raichu exists? If it evolves from Pikachu it can't exactly detract from sales or Pikachu's appeal or anything, and it it did they'd just make Raichu the mascot

Bullshit. Raichu will get a mega sooner or later. If GF was so fixated on Pikachu they wouldnt create its clones every genertaion. And guess what: aside from Plusle and Minun every Pika clone lands on the team of Ash companions (Marill, Emolga, Dedenne, Pachirisu). If Raichu will get a maga it will still lose in battle with Pikachu just like Lucario did. It'll be another occasion to show how strong anime Pikachu is.
