Yes, it does. Btw, you don't understand the point of the post. GXE indicates how consistent the win-rate is. If win chance is purely luck based, the highest GXEs wouldn't be much higher than 50, and they would only be by pure chance. The further the top GXEs deviate from 50, the more consistent the win-rate of the top players, and thus the impact of skill in the game.

Official POKEMON, Game Freak, and Nintendo do not RECOGNIZE Smogon/Showdown.

Which means.. they are not 'superior' to the original. Because if they were Showdown/Smogon would of been bought out already or merged with the new games.

Meaning..

Official VGC Tournaments give no fucks about the 'superiority' that is the bullshit of Smogon/Showdown. Or any other simulator. Because that's what it is. Fanmade simulators that aids those who do not have the money to play to enjoy pokemon, however they add their own bullshit rules.

So in short..
the truth of the matter is..

is that the OFFICIAL VGC
you know, that event where players compete for money and recognition that the WORLD OF GAMING tunes in for..

The people at the top of the ladder are at the top of the ladder because they play it competitively. They also do not run into the players who do not play the ladder intensively because PO pairs players with similar ELOs. If what you are suggesting is that people on PO's VGC ladder tend to care less about winning, the the top GXEs are even higher than you should expect them to be, as the players who do care will face less serious competition. Also, the top players in the in-game ladder have a win-rate in the are of around 70, while smogon's double GXE top players have a GXE (aka approximate win chance of beating a random player) or 80 or 90. Smogon battles are much more consistent.

VGC Doubles was created bythe people who created the game. The same people who make the games balanced, also made a format in which they can be used properly.
Smogon was made so people could so singles, without facing legendaries all the time in BS (Guessing it was GS times, but still).
Cool opinion though.

W/L doesn't mean shit, rating is more representing of skill, if anything the fact that the in-game ladder ELOs go as high as 2000+ shows the skill requirements are higher

People like Ray Rizzo and Sejun wouldn't have consistently dominated time periods if the game was random. Trying to use any ladder to prove anything is pretty stupid in the first place.
