"Like the wind, it can slip through any gap, no matter how small. It leaves balls of white fluff behind."

Whimsicott is over two feet tall according to the pokedex, and yet this big ball of fluff can squeeze through the tiniest hole. It’s pretty easy to imagine all that cotton twisting and contorting through a small space, but what about its body?

For Whimsicott to be able to squeeze through small spaces, it must not have any bones. Any skull, joint, or tooth would immediately limit the size of what Whimsicott could contort into. Like an octopus, which can squeeze through pipes the size of a quarter, Whimsicott needs to be able to change its body into basically any shape.

Humans rely on bones to walk, move, and eat, and without them, we’d just be a big ball of play dough. That’s essentially what Whimsicott must be then. Only, if it were just a big ball of cotton, it wouldn’t be able to move at all.

Like an Octopus, Whimsicott must have extremely advanced, precise muscles that it uses to move. These muscles can change the shape, appearance, and texture of its body, with so much control that it can squeeze through gaps like this.

"Whimsicott has no bones, and many flexible muscles that allow it to squeeze itself through any gap."

Whimsicott probably moves around by using these muscles to “swim” through the wind like an ocean current.
