I've been replaying the Frontier and you certainly have to adjust your playstyle in each facility to accomodate the rule changes, while in the Maison the only changes to playstyle are those you have to change to accomodate the differences between singles/doubles/etc.
I mean I know for a fact you're the same "Maison has more content" person, which is its own discussion, but there's no way you can argue the Maison, which is just the Battle Tower with the added battle styles from Gen V.
