I've tried Electrify Heliolisk and Lightningrod Rhyperior in doubles maison before. Got me surprisingly far.
Would also try switching Heliolisk out for Espeon with Psych up after Rhyperior got enough Sp.Att boosts, but that proved risky in the later matches.

This is all pure bullshit. Electrify would target Rhyperior and then NOT boost its Special Attack because the immunity comes first.

Why can't a good move just exist without being paired up with an ability/pokemon so it's overpowered?

Like we haven't seen signature moves be distributed later on. Hell, the gen 6 starters signature moves aren't theirs solely anymore.
