Why are teams with more or one starter Pokemon looked down upon? What's the difference?

I sometimes have done runs with all 3 of the region. I try and do like a canon run thinking of what the protag would actually have if he became a boss like Red in later games. So all 3 starters plus some iconic ones.

Personally I don't hate them. I have an OU team with Feraligatr, ScarfBoar, and SD M-Sceptile, and I plan to make a Six-Starter team soon.

I'm starting with a Chespin on my newest attempt in playing Pokemon X.
I must admit that I prefer a singular starter because they're supposed to be your first.
Multiple starters tends to degrade the special aspect of your "first".
Then again, everyone has their own method of playing and picking a team.
Will you be a karenfag, or will you just go with OUs?
The only OU I've been having a hard time taking out of my team is my female shiny Garchomp named Tiamat.
One of my legit shinies which makes her a very special Pokemon to me.
The added bonus is that she has her HA which means retribution towards those that threaten her with physical abuse.

I only use Pokemon I like. That said, I like a good number of OU Pokemon. I'll probably go with Aegislash and maybe Vaporeon and Tyrantrum. Might throw Raichu in there somewhere.

I'd hang on to that Garchomp too if I were you. That's awesome.

You talking about in-game or competitive?

In-game: Implies that you traded with a family member or friend or yourself for something so trivial

Competitive: It doesn't matter, just use the Pokemon that are good.

I would like in the next game to be no pokemon that are made as starters. Rather, you're given pokemon that can be found later at the start, like a Geodude, Abra or Machop.
Maybe you take a personality test at the start and that gives you a different trio to pick from.

Well, starters often arent that good competitive-wise (save exceptions like Greninja, Blaziken or Charizard with megas), so you can notice the guy made his/her team with more heart than actual strategy (there are exceptions to this of course).

If we're talking in-game, the idea of a starter is that's the one you went with and chose because you liked it over the others or wanted to try it out. If you just picked one then traded over two others to get them all, then it feels like the idea of a starter loses meaning because you just went "fuck it" and are just in it for the collection value or fillers than the "this starters my bro, that's why I went with it".
Personally its not as fun when half your team are starters, especially since they all grow and evolve at the same time and have BST of 530-ish, I did it with Sinnoh and it just wasn't as fun because it also limited trying out new things like water or ground types when I already had one, ground being Torterra, and adding a flying type in for obligatory flying, it left me with a whopping option for 2 slots to fill with any non-overlapping types.

People are elitist buggers even though nothing about pokemon is difficult in any way, shape, or form. Not even your pretend meta is foolproof. Pokemon is imbalanced, it always has been, and it always will be. You can't take it out, not without drastically changing what it is and destroying what pokemon is. Plenty care nothing about their power at all and just like the pokemon itself. Yes, it is pointless to argue, but argue they will, because someone has to believe they're right.

The point is that you must trade to get the others.

The problem is that to get all, you must get the not evoluted version of starters, this means you will need to get it from someone else, and so this other person will not be able to get the evolved version of those pokemons, unless he get from an third person and evolve it, but them this third person will not be able to get the evolution and this goes on....

You can remake the lastest version, removing all pokemons and moves and trying to make it balanced. You finish the game and dont release it, and work more on the game balancing stuff, then you release the game and an big day 1 patch, actually you put the day 1 patch before the game is released. This make people see the game is going to be patched, and what the game is now is not exactly what the game is since it can and will be changed.
Then they release patches as people discover unbalanced stuff. If people complain, reminds them of day 1 patch and how the game was changed alot on exact day 1 and how this is part of what the game is.

A lot of variety. Balance demands a much smaller scale. You can't do it with that many things. You can't do it with something that's meant to be traded. Balance demands everyone have the same capacity. The very nature of pokemon itself means it cannot be balanced. You will only have it when you stop being pokemon.
