Pretty straightforward, gym leaders teams for the most part are pretty shit and especially Johto, so make improvements where you see fit.

Kanto and johto symbols are from the badge case in HGSS; when you win all the badges in the regions, those symbols appear there too.

The Hoenn-symbol is from the battle frontier, and so is the Sinnoh one too

Unova one appears in every gym rather than the rhydon statues. It's also on the badge case, which you can see during the animation where it opens up when you win a new badge

whats the point of having a NFE pokemon like 6 levels lower than the fully evolved ace pokemon. For example:
Lvl 11 pidgey
Lvl 16 noctowl
noctowl is already 2x as strong at equal levels so making it also 5 levels higher is just unnecessary. Besides, because of all the starting pokemon being weak as shit, someone only has to lead with a set up sweeper to rape the rest of the team. If anything you only you make the game easier.
