It'd be my favorite water type if Gyarados didn't exist. Versatile moveset, good stats, cool design, and nice color pallet. I also really like anything with gems in it, I wish we had more gemstone pokemon.

It's also the best pokemon for fusions.

Cosmic Power, Light Screen, Reflect Type, Minimize, Camouflage, Harden, Recover, Rapid Spin, it sounds like a fucking truck.

It was the other way around. Greninja was a Starmie replacement because it did the "fast, frail special attacker" thing better than Starmie.
Starmie was hovering near OU usage anyway even when Greninja was around, since it's still a good spinner and it gets Recover. That's it.
