ITT: Pokémon that were fucked up by power creep.

I remember using Quagsire and actually tanking many hits. Now, if I don't get the burn in the Scald, it is pretty much dead weight.

Quagsire didn't really get fucked up by power creep, it was never a top-tier Pokemon.

It has nothing to do with power creep.
Quagsire is obsolete because it doesn't fit the OU meta very well, and Clefable is better.

It is power creep. Back when 130+ offenses were rare, those defenses are a bit more than average. Now you have 150 offenses left and right

You see the effects of power creep once a Pokémon, which clearly was really good at something, starts being shit one gen afterwards with no big addition. Quagsire was a great bulky water type, but now its stats are too shit to tank anything from 90% of OU tier - even with maxed defenses.

In one gen it went from good to NU material with no good niche because everyone now has crazy offenses and extremely powerful stabs. The only defensive Pokémon that didn't go this way is Blissey because of its huge hp. I can even see Ferro and Suicune being shit in next gens for the same reason.
