Never. I think Game Freak is already kicking themselves for Eviolite because of how Pokémon like Chansey and Dusclops are more viable than their evolutions.

Imagine all the sets that would outclass their evos with an offensive variant.

Was my favourite Pokemon until gen 4, when Weavile was introduced. Still like it a lot, though.

Too bad it sucked in gen 2 and 3. It would have been nice to deal at least SOME stab damage. Base 35 SpA leaves a lot to be desired.
