As someone who has only played Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest all their life who has only decided to experiment with Pokemon for two months (FireRed, Pearl, HeartGold, White 2, Y, OmegaRuby), here are my thoughts on this board's favorite series.

>music wise, it's stale. Only thing memorable was probably from FireRed/OmegaRuby
>HeartGold & Y were the easiest out of the games I've played, especially Y.
>Battle system is borderline early DQ levels of stale
>HeartGold was wonderful the first half, but felt incredibly rushed towards the ending
>OmegaRuby had the most interesting region.
>I loved FireRed's simplicity
>All pokes from Pearl/White2/Y looked stupid
>Character designs are nice though with all the games.

overall I most enjoyed my time with Red and Ruby. Maybe Gold too if it didn't have a weak 2nd part.
