>>23154025>>23154045>>23154050>TFW typed up a long explanation behind certain type combos, but too long for the postI'll try to make these a bit shorter and conciser and explain my reasoning for each. In general though the thought process was
>Is this a type that desperately more Pokemon in it (I.E Ghost/Dragon)>Is this a type combination already in the game or not?>Does the pre-split move types help this Pokemon or not?On Krabby, I went with the Bug = Arthropod, and that Krabby is often an overlooked generic water Pokemon, so him having a unique typing makes him stand out more.
Stantler because it's often said to "Distort reality", and some Ghost types like Hoopa and Giratina are less afterlife, and more inter-dimensional otherworldly shit. Also Stantler is rare and elusive, ghostlike. Also because Ghost is a Physical type and Stantler has physical attack. Normal/Ghost is also a really good type.
Corsola because there's already Rock/Water but no Grass/Water, and coral isn't really a rock. I mean, it's not a plant either, but it's closer. Rock/Water isn't that amazing of a type anyways compared to Grass/Water.
Ledyba because a Special Bug can stand out better with a Psychic type than a garbage Bug/Flying type.
Jynx because it looks ghostly and in Pokemon Stadiums has animations more like a Ghost. Also ghost is one of the few types Ice can not be shit with. And Ghost needed more types.
On Girafarig, originally I did have it Psychic Dark, with Stantler being Normal/Psychic. However, when I changed Stantler to Normal/Ghost, I debated on changing Girafarig. In the end, Drowzee was already a Psychic/Dark line, and the giraffe really was the "Normal" part, and there weren't any Normal/Dark Pokemon, so I ended up going for that. It's a better typing than Normal/Psychic as well.
Kangaskhan because does it look Normal? Fighting and Ground are two Physical types which go great with K's attack, and Kangaroos are associated with fighting.
