>>23184313I am deen. I had "overpowered" mons because I spent those countless hours actually breeding for them, I fail to see how that's unfair to anyone. If you want me to sit out in tourneys, sure. I'll be glad to do that until people are able to reasonable compete at the same level, since all I really care about is battling others anyways. All I want to keep are my trained and bred mons, as it's very unlikely I'll dedicate time to getting those all over again. The rest doesn't matter though, and I get that you guys want to put everyone on equal footing again.
And it's not like I wasn't able to win back in the first tourney with my underleveled 5mon team. Towards the shut-down I was about to start running my own tourneys and only act as overseer since I had so many mons and so much stuff to give away, but there were never enough people, and no one was even prepared for tourneys or gym battles anyways.
This will probably be the case again with the wipe, but no one seems to be saying how you plan to alleviate the problems inherent with a full wipe, even though I've made like 3 pages of posts about potential issues involving economy, the region/world, events/quests, and player spread. I understand that things aren't completely planned out, we still have a month or two after all.
So since UUIDs can't be transferred, what is your plan for getting a league system up and running within any kind of reasonable time period? Either you spawn in mons for the leaders and e4 that they can use right off the bat and have them build gyms in creative, or we're back to the point where we'll have no leaders and tourneys for months. It just seems to me that this wipe, while perhaps a good idea, isn't actually being directed at the problems that we have had, and is instead being done in some kind of odd attempt to wipe away everything in hopes it will go better this time without taking any steps to actually ensure this.
