Some mechanics are changed.

>Poison is also SE to Water
>Bug is also SE to Fairy
>Ice is now longer weak to Ground and Fighting
>Fighting is now weak to Fire

Some new Pokemon type combos are announced

>Fighting/Ground
>Poison/Normal
>Ghost/Normal

Poison, Ghost and Normal Legendaries are announced

Ghost was always supposed to be SE against psychic. The only reason it wasn't in gen 1 was because of a glitch.

As far as I recall, psychic was just plain immune towards ghost. Also, bug was super effective against poison, which lead to some hilarious ownage with beedrill in my randomized nuzlocke.
