In fact i'd say going out of your way to counter x mon is a bad idea, mostly because there are 150 mons that are strong enough to be considered 'competitive' in the vgc doubles meta and thus I think it's best to go with all rounder strategies that cover against massive amounts of sets, setups, and potential ways of thinking of your opponent.
But with all these steel types around to check fairies I feel 1 fire mon is due. Personally I enjoy arcanine with 252 HP and then some evs in sp atk, sp def and enough speed to outspeed Bisharp with calm nature, as intimidate already gives it enough bulk on the physical side. If that won't do, Mixed Blaziken (HP ice) is an all rounder check vs Heatran, Landorus-t, Terrakion, Mega-Kangaskhan, Virizion, and steel types.
Beyond that, the world's your oyster. Infernape offers Fake Out support, Talonflame is well, the bravest of birds, Ninetales can offer weather support without needing a mega and has access to overheat + power swap shenanigans and decent bulk/speed. Rotom-Heat is so typical that there isn't much I can say that you probably don't know about other than it can be offensive or defensive, but you always want it to outspeed bisharp.
Another great way to deal with it in case your fire type is down or threatened by something else is carrying something with will-o-wisp that's faster.
Gastrodon can also do a decent job versus it, but I'd say that falls more as a check than as an actual counter. Something ought to be said about specs fire blast/earth power Hydreigon too which can give trouble to it despite its poor typing. Swampert, particularly its special version can also give it a headache with earth power and its bulk, and has great options with wide guard nowdays.
And I think that's all the options I can think off. That said, looking for ashley/mayoi
