>>23170877Odd numbered gens always have the larger amount of new pokemon, but now that Megas are a thing, I'm not too sure we will see a large amount anymore. They've already centered most of their attention on them. Also, since they exist, new evos to old pokes will never happen anymore, they'll all be Megas. (Eevee had the multiple elemental branch thing, it doesn't count) Pre-evos? I...don't know. The fifth gen was made specifically to have no connections and the sixth was still devoid of it, but I still don't know if we can consider the idea to be dead. There's only so many pokes that even have the potential, though. It'd be best avoided as much as possible. We can't stop the Megas now, but honestly, how much can they drag this on, picking out random pokes to give one? I wouldn't necessarily think dumping a ton of Megas at once is a good idea, either, but this has gotten too ridiculous now. Just patch them in a few at a time until everything has one. This is the only recourse you have, anything else just doesn't make sense. (oh, I know you're going to do it, but it still doesn't make sense. This entire mechanic is full of malarkey)
