Metagross, Altaria, Lopunny, Diancie, and Sableye are great.

Gallade, Latias, and Slowbro are good but flawed.

Sceptile, Beedrill, Swampert, and Sharpedo are decent.

Pidgeot, Glalie, and Camerupt are just ok.

Steelix, Audino, and Latios ain't shit.

One of the best aspects of Megas are their abilities. Inner Focus is OK, but not as good as the abilities of other Megas, like Tough Claws or Adaptability.

It's one of the best new ones, and just as good as Altaria, Lopunny, Diancie, and Sableye.
Hell at A+ rank it's better than Diancie, ChariYard, Pinsir, Venusaur, and Manectric.
And Slowbro is just as good as any.

Gallade doesn't NEED an ability though. His offenses are already high enough, and his STABs+coverage give him SE stopping power vs almost everything and everyone.

But still, Gallade is A- rank, which while not the best of the best, still makes them Pokemon whose flaws are ridiculously overshadowed by their strength.

It's a good wallbreaker but the meta's shifted away from the kinds of cores it likes to break like Venutran. Stuff like Mega Sableye, Unaware Clefable/Quagsire, and bulky Mega Altaria builds are everywhere are all big problems for it. It also doesn't have the bulk or the typing to switch in to much like Mega Meta and MDiancie which hampers its ability to SD up consistently.
