Goomy while an interesting pokemon wasn't truly exploited as to create an attachment with the audience. It evolved very quickly and with what it seems to be a direct character arc still in progress.
I feel that if the dragon left while being the reason why Ash wins the Brobowl would be big misstep, but pikachu v luxray seems to be the final round so its fine. the dragon is aesthetically an eyesore and I am glad its leaving with a bang with an actual character arc conclusion.

I think the animators were so disappointed with Dawn and Iris' flat chests that they were glad to be drawing boobs again. Its just a shame that Serena's boobs don't pop out as much in her new design.
