Actually it isn't. That set is pretty outclassed by Sylveon and doesn't hit that hard with only 110 SpAtk and no item to boost. DD sets are much superior. Same deal with Mega Salamence.

Because I almost never lose a mon to it. I run banded Scizor and Nidoking. So it 's never safe for it to attack or to DD.
Magnezone trapping is also unsafe because Superpower.

110 attack is nothing to write home about, specially if it takes a Mega slot. 80 speed allows it to be outspeed by common scarf users.

It's typing and defenses deserves a mention, the movepool backs it. It's a great supportive Mega that can wear down enemy defenses while setting tailwind and healling status.

But people don't like to run supportive Megas, I wonder why.
