CoroCoro comes out on the 15th. ORAS is at the same weak sales levels as XY when ORAS was announced (VGChartz). Almost 3 weeks ago, Mega Evolution Act III aired in Japan with several clues. The logo in the preview for Mega Act IV is red and lime green (Zygarde Color). Plus Alain, Mairin, and Lysandre are back in Kalos.
PokeBank has an event for HA Johto starters. The Celebi event ended on September 30th. However, the HA Johto starter event ends on November 30th. Both events started in February. With that November 30th end date, I can see Nintendo using the HA Johto starter event to promote the next games. I can see the games being released in October. An April announcement would make sense because the the HA Johto starter event would push the next games into October or even September. ORAS was announced last May.
The next games are likely gonna have Mega Johto starters. Kalos already has a major reference to Johto called the Sea Spirit's Den. The Kanto birds roost there and their leader is Lugia, the Guardian of the Seas.
Why not announce it in on Wednesday? All the stars are lining up!
